Golden Check List for Before You Land Yourself Onsite

  • Install the App. Play with it a little. Absolutely set up your device so you're ready to rock and roll onsite. Yes, we can help with all of this onsite, but you probably have more important things to do than hang out with us.
  • Watch the "Scanning a Lead" video tutorial.
  • You'll definitely want to review our section regarding Battery Life. Make sure you fully charge your device the night before and please remember to bring your charger!
DON'T lose and/or break your device before leads have all uploaded from the Outbox to the Inbox. DON'T delete the App from your device before leads have all uploaded from the Outbox to the Inbox. If leasing your device, DON'T return the device before leads have all uploaded from the Outbox to the Inbox.

Log into the App

We're proud to say the App works perfectly without any network connection. However, you MUST log into the App at least once WITH a network connection. From there on in, we don't care if your device is in Airplane mode.

What type of user are you?

We've developed this App for all types or users, whether you're tech-savvy or more tech-shy. There are really just two questions you need to answer for yourself:

1 Prompt for lead augmentation

Do you want to augment attendee leads? QR Leadr allows you to scan an attendee badge, and easily attach products and/or notes to an attendee. For products, we allow you to configure a default list of products within the app so you're quick with your fingers onsite, and not typing in product names over and over again.

Less tech-savvy? If you'd prefer to disable this functionality (i.e. simply scan attendee badges and nothing more), click to the "Account" tab, and swipe "Prompt for Lead Augmentation" to the "Off" state.

2 Bulk scan enabled

Do you want to be able to scan multiple attendees at the same time? And augment groups of leads in bulk? Imagine you're speaking to a group of attendees and you want to scan all of their badges quickly. The App allows you to scan multiple badges simply by moving your camera viewfinder over attendees' badges. Even more, you can attach products and/or notes to this group of leads.

Less tech-savvy? If you'd prefer scanning one attendee at a time, click to the "Account" tab, and swipe "Bulk Scan Enabled" to the "Off" state.

Creating Your Product List

Knowing an attendee was at your showroom or booth is good. Knowing they were interested in a particular product is better! QR Leadr helps you leverage this additional data, but first you need to add products to your account.

Log in to your account online. From the drop-down in the upper right corner, click to the "Account" page. Expand the "Products" module. You'll see existing products that have been included for you. You may delete these products. Or you may create new products with the "Create a new product" field. You can add as many products to this list as you want, but keep in mind long lists will slow you down onsite so we advise being a bit selective.

Creating Your Signature

As a Pro subscriber with a network connection, you can send real-time follow-ups to leads as soon as you finish scanning their badge. Now attendees know you care before even having a chance to sleep on it. QR Leadr allows you to create a standard signature with canned copy, links to literature, contact information, and more.

Click to the "Account" page, and expand the "Email Signature" module located at the bottom of the screen. Include whatever information you want attendees to receive, but don't want to re-type over and over again onsite. Note, that you can absolutely include additional custom text within the body of each message when you're sending the follow up. This signature is just meant to be the repetitive components. When you're done, tap the "Confirm" button in the bottom right corner.

Managing Battery Life

You probably didn't know this, but 'searching' for a network connection drains your device's battery. So if you're in an area with poor connectivity, we suggest either turning your data off and/or enabling Airplane mode. Again, QR Leadr doesn't requite a network connection.

Yes, charging your device onsite may be frustrating, but less frustrating than your device's battery dying before the end of the day. You may not even need to charge your device during the day, but we heavily encourage that you at least bring your charger. Bonus points for you if you remember to plug into the wall during a quiet moment!

There are many battery extender products available (both for iPhone and Android) that increase your battery life 200-400 percent, and we encourage you to purchase a battery extender before arriving onsite. It's not a must, but certainly a nice to have.

General

How many licenses do I need?

Each device you intend to use will require its own license. Please note that licenses are non-transferable, meaning you cannot logout on one device and login on another device.

Will leads for all my licenses be grouped together?

All your leads for all your licenses will be saved together to your Lead Inbox online at QRLeadr.com

Does each license receive its own username and password?

No. You will use the same username and password for each license you purchase.

When will I receive my username and password?

You will receive your username and password no later than two weeks prior to the expo.

Leads

Can I customize the list of products?

You may customize your default list of products online at QRLeadr.com. Login to your account, click to the "Account" page in the dropdown menu. You'll see settings for your default product list. This product list is for ALL your licenses on all your devices.

Can I customize the list of notes?

You may customize your default list of notes online at QRLeadr.com. Login to your account, click to the "Account" page in the dropdown menu. You'll see settings for your default notes list. This product list is for ALL your licenses on all your devices.

Can I type in and assign one-off notes to leads during the show?

Yes, when you tap the "+Notes" button on your device, at the bottom of the screen, you will see a "Type Note" button. This note will be assigned to the lead, but will not be saved into your default list of notes.

How do I access and retrieve my leads?

On your device, within the Leads section, you'll notice Sent and Outbox tabs. When connected to a Network, leads immediately move to your Sent tab and upload to your Inbox online at QRLeadr.com. You may login to the website 24/7 with the same username and password you're issued to login to the App on your device. When not connected to a Network, leads are saved in your Outbox tab, and will upload to your Inbox as soon as you connect to a Network.

When purchasing multiple licenses, will the App track which device scans each lead?

Yes, absolutely. When you login to the App on a device for the first time, the App asks you to name the device. When you retrieve your leads online, you will notice a column that displays the device name per lead.

While you cannot print leads directly from your device, you can access and retrieve your leads at anytime during the show at QRLeadr.com.

Devices

What devices and operating systems can I use?

You may use an iPhone or iTouch with iOS 7.0 or newer. You may use a portrait-oriented Android phone with HDPI & MDPI resolutions with OS 2.2 or newer. We strongly encourage that you download and test the App on your device pre-show.

Network Connection

Do I need a network connection to use QRLeadr?

We only require that you login to the App once while connected to a network. After that, QRLeadr works just fine without a network connection. Heck, put your device into airplane mode to save battery life. When not connected to a network, everything you do will be saved to your device. When you connect to a network later, all information will be uploaded from your device to your Lead Inbox online.

Pro Account

Can I customize my signature for "Follow Up" emails?

You may customize your signature online at QRLeadr.com. Login to your account, click to the "Account" page in the dropdown menu. You'll see settings for your signature. This signature is for ALL your licenses on all your devices.

When are "Follow-Up" emails sent to attendees?

When connected to a Network, "Follow-Up" emails are sent to attendees in real-time. When not connected to a Network, emails are queued on your device and will ship immediately upon connecting to a Network.
